Leading With Influence & How to Build Your Influencing Muscle

AUPO Women Professors of Ophthalmology (WPO) hosted a 90-minute webinar, Leading With Influence & How to Build Your Influencing Muscle, on Thursday, November 7, 5:00 PM (PDT) / 6:00 PM (MDT) / 7:00 PM (CDT) / 8:00 PM (EDT).

In this webinar, we plan to discuss how one’s leadership skills can be cultivated as an influencing presence rather than an authoritative figure. In today's interconnected world, effective leadership goes beyond traditional authority - it requires the ability to inspire, persuade, and mobilize others towards a common vision. The conversation will focus on how an influencing style of leadership is more effective and can improve the management of conflict and building of relationships. We will have a keynote speaker with formal leadership skills training who provides an overview of this topic, and then our panelists will each present a “case study” of a challenge or conflict in their role as a leader, including how the situation was managed. After the presentations, there will be a Q&A session with audience participation.
